At treatlink, we strive to make a major contribution to improving therapies for patients with cancers which are still considered highly lethal despite recent progress in precision oncology in general.
It is our aim to establish the unique biosignature of individual tumors and their reaction to therapies in a holistic and precise manner by applying extensive high-performance analytics and latest generation AI methods.
Our results will help to significantly improve the understanding of tumor behavior with and without therapy. This way, we will facilitate the design of successful therapies and improve the stratification of patient groups for clinical trials. We are convinced that even diseases as aggressive as Glioblastoma or Distant Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma can, in the long-run, become curable once the full patient-specific biosignature has been uncovered.
Dr. Uwe Liebelt, a bioengineer by training, founded treatlink after losing his wife to Glioblastoma in 2023. Before creating treatlink, Dr. Liebelt served 29 years at chemicals giant BASF where he held various C-suite positions and worked in four different countries.
Dr. Marco Stock founded treatlink and makes use of his experience in computational biology to bring treatlink's mission to life. He leverages cutting-edge machine learning techniques to generate new insights for optimizing cancer patient treatments.
Prof. Nima Etminan is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon and currently serves as Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Medical Center Mannheim of the University Heidelberg. Clinically, he is specialized in cerebrovascular surgery, skullbase surgery and neurooncology. His scientific focus lies in translational research of cerebrovascular disorders, such as aneurysm and arterio-venous malformations.
Prof. Platten supports treatlink with his globally acclaimed expertise in Neurooncology and Tumor Immunology. He serves as Chair of the Department of Neurology at the University Medical Center Mannheim of the University Heidelberg and Head of the Clinical Cooperation Unit Neuroimmunology and Braintumorimmunology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). As of October 2024, Platten also acts as the President of the European Association of Neurooncology (EANO).
